Chamberlain Duru serves as the Diverse Business Manager in California for Burns & McDonnell, a 100% employee-owned engineering, architecture, and construction company.


In this role, he helps advance a diverse supplier base, develop key client relationships, assist with proposal development and marketing campaigns as well as the support of government relations and project execution with a focus on growth and delivering client success. 

Chamberlain has nearly two decades of experience across a variety of industries, including banking, aviation, economic development and more. He previously served as the Business Affairs Manager at Los Angeles World Airports (LAX)– The nation’s second largest airport, leading business engagement efforts for airport concessions and construction projects. Additionally, he worked as the Vice President of the LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce, connecting businesses and government organizations to spark and develop economic growth in Los Angeles. He has also served as a Board member for the Asian Business Assoc. as well as Chairman of the Inglewood Chamber of Commerce and the Southern California Minority Supplier Development Council.

 

Chamberlain’s hometown is Charlotte, N.C. and an alumnus of Hampton University with a Bachelors in Marketing. He is married to his wife Randal and father to his new son Bray Duru.
